CHOREOGRAPHER’S NOTE
The choreographic composition, AEQUAM is a kinetic-sonic monologue, drawing material from M. Heidegger’s Holzwege. The performance depicts the perpetual attempt in the silent «forest of poetry», in the primitive «forest of inner life». For many people, a Holzweg (a forest path that does not lead out of it) is a stalemate and it looks identical to all similar paths. Those who know, have the ability to distinguish these paths and appreciate the particular significance of the «walking» on each of them. What is important is not to exit the forest, but remaining in it, what is important is the balanced remaining of the thought in a field defined by the Being itself. In AEQUAM, the body is defined as a memory and consciousness of self, and the Logos becomes a body, while the subject constantly conceives itself after having seeked himself in an inner abyss. The relation between body and material (steel, stone and colour) and the interaction of choreographic, verbal and sonic language, create during the performance a unique artistic environment in which co-exist memories and futuristic eventualities.
